Dear Parents and Carers,
Absence due to illness
Recently, headteachers have been sent a letter from the Chief Medical Officer about sending children to school with a mild illness. Here is one part of it: 'It is usually appropriate for parents and carers to send their children to school with mild respiratory illnesses. This would include general cold symptoms: a minor cough, runny nose or sore throat.'
If your child has a minor illness such as these, please still send them to school - we will always let you know if they become too ill to stay in school.
If your child is absent, please ring school each day to let us know. If we don't hear from you, a member of staff may ring you, and your child's absence may be marked as unauthorised.
Online Safety
Several issues have occurred in school recently with children being unkind to one another in group chats online. Please read the attached guide with advice for supporting children when involved in group chats on social media or games.
Have a great week!
