We looked at how solids and liquids can change through the processes of melting and freezing and made a prediction about what would happen to our ice cubes. They started off as red and yellow solids and gradually, due to heat being added from our environments, they became an orange liquid. We also learned that the processes of melting and freezing are reversible, so we could definitely turn our liquid back into a solid (although the colour would stay orange!)
