We conducted an investigation to find out how far a car would travel down a ramp that was covered in different materials to explore how friction works. 

We found out that the rougher the surface, the less distance the car travelled but the smoother the surface, the further the car travelled.  

The more friction, the harder it is for the object to move smoothly.
