Hello year 6.
If you are able to join us for our zoom time, we will be sharing the poem called 'Matilda' written by Hilaire Belloc. If you cannot join us, here is the link to the poem.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZFj9tfDLlE
This is another story with a very cautionary tale, this time in the form of a poem. It once again tells of the dreadful things that can happen if you tell lies.
We would like you to retell this poem as a story, a narrative in your own words. Once again, you can write the story or choose to tell it in comic book form.
Non-screen activity
If you cannot access the stories or join us on zoom:
Write a descriptive poem about the snowy view around you. Try to make the poem in rhyming couplets if you can.
You might begin...
All around me I can see the snow,
Falling from the sky up high to ground low
