Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s Mental Health Week is all about looking after our feelings and understanding how we feel. This year’s theme, "Knowing Yourself and Growing Yourself," helps children think about which emotional zone they’re in.

There are four zones: the green zone, where we feel calm and happy; the yellow zone, where we might feel a bit worried or anxious; the red zone, where we might feel really angry or upset; and the blue zone, where we might feel sad or tired. By recognising how we feel, we can think of ways to move into the green zone. This could be writing down things that help us feel better, like taking deep breaths, talking to someone we trust, or doing something fun. This helps us understand our feelings better and gives us tools to grow into happier, stronger people.
