Coat of Hopes
The Coat of Hopes was brought to our school by Reverend Hinton and Mrs Hinton for us to look at.
The coat of hopes visited West Bowling this week and we were incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to see and wear the coat.
Reverend Hinton brought the coat to our classrooms from St Stephen’s church and shared the story of how the coat has travelled around the country collecting people’s hopes.
Some of us wore the coat, which was incredibly heavy, and walked around before sharing our hopes.

The Coat is a special patch work coat and is made up of pieces of blanket into which people have worked their griefs, remembrances, prayers and hopes for the place they call home. Look at the amazing detail. This coat has travelled far and wide and people have added to it along the way. Next week it journeys on to Haworth, home of the Bronte Sisters.
