Today children looked at pulse and rhythms.

We learnt that a pulse is a steady beat like a ticking clock or like a heartbeat.  

Using coloured counters children created their own rhythms.  Each colour represented an instrument.  Today our instrument was a bongo drum - a digital bongo drum!  We experimented with the bongos learning how to play them on the computer, then we practised playing our rhythm sequences.

We then experimented creating more rhythms with different digital instruments.  We used computers to create our rhythms and used Ipads to share our creations with the class.
