During our act of Collective Worship, we were very lucky to have a visit by Rev. Dr. Inderjit Singh Bhogal who spoke to congratulate the pupils and staff of St. Stephen’s for being recognised as a 'School of Sanctuary'. Dr Bhogal explained to us how he founded the City of Sanctuary Movement in Sheffield more than 20 years ago, and how it has grown and spread to other places of sanctuary, for example: schools, hospitals and libraries, to name a few. He told us of his own journey and what has inspired him throughout his life.
