Reading is at the heart of life at St Stephen’s.
Books introduce our children to extraordinary people, distant places, different lives and powerful ideas. Across school, we want children surrounded by stories, poetry, information and language.
We want every child to become a confident reader — but we also want them to experience the excitement of finding a book they simply cannot put down.

We want our children to know that their voice matters.
Throughout school life, children are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, explain their thinking and listen respectfully to others.
